There has literally never been a more adorable, loving, joy-filled couple as Annalise and Ryan.
In 2014 I had the pleasure of working with Annalise at an all girls summer camp where we became friends. Annalise is one of the most agreeable gals I've ever met, which was a good thing considering our desks were about 6 inches apart. Throughout the summer I heard tales of Ryan, her long-distance love, but never had the pleasure of meeting him until the morning of their wedding. It was a huge honor to be asked to capture the day of their uniting.
Annalise and her girls got ready in the loving home of a family friend in Cashiers, NC. The sounds of piano playing, dancing feet, and excited laughter filled the house as the girls ran around tying bows and applying eye shadow. I felt like I was in the middle of a movie as I hurried around trying to capture the scene unfolding around me. We paraded down the street in the glorious morning light cutting fresh flowers and greenery to add to bouquets. After all was set, Annalise and I drove to the top of a stunning piece of property and found Ryan, eagerly awaiting the first look of his soon to be bride.
As Ryan and Annalise shared in their first wedding day moment together, I was on the sidelines drenched in goose bumps watching the tender interaction between the two. From that moment until the moment I left their reception, Annalise and Ryan were enthralled in loving one another, their family and friends, and enjoying every second of their wedding day.
I felt like I was a part of the party and I could not have planned a wedding myself that would have been more enjoyable to shoot.
Hope Colorado is treating you two honeymooners well!
